Thank you for your interest in our campaign for Florida's new 8th Congressional District, where I look forward to serving you as your next representative in the U.S. House of Representatives.

As you may know, the new 8th Congressional District includes Brevard and Indian River Counties, and some of east Orange County. We are a diverse and rich District, considering our people, businesses, and natural resources.

Our challenges and opportunities are great.

The jobless rate is close to 12%, our residents are losing their homes, and our beautiful natural resources are being threatened.

We need a Congressional Representative in Washington, D.C., who has proven national and local leadership experience, who can work with our President and our new Governor to bring seriously needed Federal resources to our State and our community to:

	Expand and bring in new businesses and jobs
	Keep our Space Program #1 in the World
	Provide health care to those in need
	Provide improved roads and new transportation systems
	Protect our natural resources
	Elevate our research and education to the best in the Nation
	Provide a strong national defense and homeland security

Considering our world class workforce, our world technological leadership, the creative resourcefulness of our residents and our businesses, and our unique world location in one of the best places to live on Earth, we have incredible opportunities to bring new jobs to our area in:

Given my executive leadership experience with NASA, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the President's Council on Management Improvement (which crossed the spectrum of 23 Federal Departments and agencies), complemented by my local and regional experience here in Florida and our District, I believe I am uniquely qualified to offer you the aggressive and progressive leadership we need to move this District forward.
